You are invited to a supportive and nurturing environment that will help transform your life.  Yoga is an alternative form of exercise that helps the student regain balance in the body, mind and spirit.

Health Benefits of Yoga include:

Flexibility -    Most of us do not begin yoga with a flexible body.  Stretching your body will help you release tensions to gain more flexibility and range of motion to muscles and joints.

Strength & Muscle Tone -     Many poses require you to support the weight of your own body, such as Downward Facing Dog.  While other poses help us gain strength by holding the poses or slowly moving in and out of them.  Improved muscle tone is an added benefit that come with muscle strength.  Yoga builds healthy muscles that are long, lean and strong.

Pain Management & Prevention - Tight muscles and reduced flexibility can lead to back pain.  Many students report improvement in their back pain after only a few classes.  Yoga also helps to improve your alignment, both on and off the mat, which helps to prevent many other types of pain.

Improved Breathing - Many of us breathe shallow into the lungs, especially as we age.  Through breathing exercises we draw our focus to our breath and learn how to breathe into our belly.  This benefits the whole body by increasing energy, and calms and relaxes the nervous system which benefits both the mind and the body. 

Stress Reduction - With an awareness of our breathing and physical movements of the body we can draw our focus away from the busy or chaotic day.  Yoga encourages the body and the mind the melt away all the tension and "let go" of all the stresses of the day.  Yoga helps us to feel more grounded, confident and relaxed.
